Mrs J of Biggin Hill - Care at its best

Gracious Care certainly live up to their name. My family and I can never find enough words to thank them enough for the care they have given to my Dad as well as all the support and love they have given to all of us. They made my Dad laugh, treated him with kindness and respect and enabled him to retain his dignity and remain at home even though he had two degenerative conditions. They became and remain a very important part of our family and we will never forget how special you all are and what a wonderful job you all do.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you have done for us.

Mr T Orpington wrote to us after receiving 5 months of care from us:

Thank you all for the support and care you have provided for me during the last 5 months. It's all run very professionally. In caring terms, a big thanks to [my main carer] whose bubbly personality  as she come through the door at 0800, wakes me up!!! Her brightness makes everything seem so much better and her words help.

The family of one of our customers has written to us in gratitude for our Pass app which enables the family to keep in touch with the relative we care for, just by logging in from wherever in the world she is:

Just want to say I’m so glad I found your company, enjoying reading the notes in the app whilst I’m away Thank you.

Mrs W Sevenoaks

We would just like to say a huge Thank You for all the care & support you provided for my mother, Brenda, during the time when you looked after her.

Right from the beginning (in January 2019) your team has worked above and beyond the standard expected - starting with the time and support you provided when my mother cut her leg and had to be hospitalised whilst we were on holiday in New Zealand - which meant that we did not need to curtail our break, as we knew she was being cared for.

The Carers were always so kind and considerate of my mothers needs (and her whims) which enabled her to stay in her own home (as she wished) for as long as possible. They made really helpful suggestions about her care and things which could be done to make life easier/better for her.

We were also very impressed with the level of communication to us, as we don't live close - the phone app meant that at any time, we could check up to see what had happened and be reassured that she was OK. lf there had been any urgent issue, we were always notified promptly by phone.

We very much appreciated the little kindnesses shown : tea in the conservatory, picking flowers from the garden to fill vases indoors, gifts for her at Christmas and Valentine's Day, and others too numerous to mention.

Although we know is it safest for Mum in the Care Home where she now lives, we are very regretful that she will no longer be cared for by your team

Thank you so much to every member of the Gracious Care team who provided such wonderful care.

Thank you for making a considerable difference to my life

Mike talks about the care his mum is receiving from Gracious Care

We started using Gracious care for our elderly mother and have been so happy with the service from the very beginning. Christine came initially to meet us all and took notes of everything we needed from our carer. The carer has been lovely, all visits are on time and by the same lady which puts our mind at rest. We now consider the carer as one of the family as she knows exactly what is required and is not only dedicated but a wealth of knowledge to us all.

She keeps us informed of any concerns and notices any changes which we should be aware of. We cannot thank you enough for the excellent care.

Mrs N Orpington

I just wanted to thank everyone at Gracious Care for the support, friendship and care you gave to my friend over the last 18 months. There have been difficult times, falls, tears, hospital, ambulances and, of course, often chats and laughter and all of it was dealt with efficiency, care and understanding and we couldn’t have managed without you all. My friend went into a nursing home yesterday amid lots of tears and I can only hope she is shown the same level of compassion and care in there as shown by Gracious Care. So a big thank you.

Mrs A Halstead

I was seeking a carer for my loved one who has FTD (Frontotemporal Dementia) to give me a little ‘me’ time. A friend recommended I call Christine of Gracious Care and gave me her contact details. Before calling I watched Christine’s video outlining her vision to change the face of care for those suffering from Dementia and found myself agreeing with everything she said.  I called the number the next day and agreed a time to meet.  Christine is a very caring person and very experienced in working with those with Dementia.  She is also extremely passionate about creating a gold standard care agency.   She took time to discuss my needs and find out exactly what I needed at this stage of our FTD journey.  The result is that I am extremely pleased with the standard of care received - nothing is too much trouble - and the personal touch by truly kind and caring staff is helping to make a real difference to our lives.

Mrs B Orpington

Our Dad has been retired for 30 years and he's been doing all his own shopping, cleaning, washing and personal care since Mum died 15 years ago.

We noticed that he wasn't getting his cleaning quite right but we didn't want to undermine his confidence. Christine from Gracious Care came to tell us, as a family, about the services she could offer. She told us that she could supplement the things Dad could do and take the heavy lift. This reassured both us and our independent Dad. Gracious Care introduced Sarah to us and we haven't looked back. She's lovely, doesn't intrude and lets Dad get on with what he can do. Thank you to all at Gracious Care.

Mrs C Orpington

Dear Christine,

We wanted to extend our sincere gratitude for the faultless care provided by yourself and your team in caring for mum in her final months.  As a team you collectively provided a care service above and beyond the call of duty that ensured mum was treated with dignity and genuine affection despite difficult circumstances at times.  Your support and help during meetings with various health professionals was invaluable in helping us through the minefield of dementia care.  We will always be grateful to you

Family of Mrs P Orpington

As discussed yesterday Dad is going into his Home today, so alas we will not be needing [the carer], for the time being. I would like to say how impressed I've have been with [the carer] this week in what has been a nightmare for us. She is happy, joyful and caring and is a credit to your company.

Mr M Sidcup

During this current Covid-19 crisis we're proud of the professionalism displayed by our staff. But even at this difficult time we're grateful that the family of two of our customers have taken some time out to write:

Hi Christine,

Thank you so much for your additional support for dad during this crazy time!! He is very stressed with the situation and we are talking every day and keeping on top of shopping and most of the chores!!

My daughter is still there some of the time, and although she is working on her dissertation, she is able to support with cleaning when I can’t get there, so we should be ok going forward.

I would like to say that [our carer] has been fantastic, and has given lots of practical help and reassurance, and my mum really likes her. Please can you pass our thanks on to her.

Mrs I Sittingbourne
